Save the Reindeer! is the 16th episode of Wonder Pets!  from the first season.

In production order, it is the fifth episode of Wonder Pets!  from season 1 and is the first double-length episode. It is also the 31st episode overall in airing order, and the 9th episode overall in production order.

Trivia

• Ming-Ming doesn't sing her line "The phone, we'll be right there" after Linny says "The phone, the phone is ringing", because she is too busy with opening her present. Instead, she says, "I don't hear anything!".
• This double-length episode doesn't have the team wearing regular hats. Instead, they are wearing Santa's hats for Christmas Eve.
• This is the third episode and the third of the seven episodes where one of the Wonder Pets cried (both Tuck and Ming-Ming). (With the exception of Ollie --if he is considered a main character-- all of the main characters cried in at least one episode. That is, Linny, Tuck, and Ming-Ming.)
  • Ming-Ming cries in the song Ming-Ming’s Lament. And this was in the episode Save the Duckling!.
  • Tuck cries when Ming-Ming accidentally breaks his snow globe. (This is the only episode where he --Tuck-- cries.) That is, after he says to Ming-Ming (even though she apologizes), "SORRY WON'T FIX IT!".
  • In the end of this episode, Ming-Ming cries when she says, "Tuck? You are making me cry here!". She (Ming-Ming) also cried in Save the Duckling! and Save the Wonder Pets!.
    • Coincidentally, both of these episodes (along with Save the Mouse!) were in Season 1.
      • Save the Mouse! was Linny crying.
  • Linny cried in the four episodes Save the Mouse! (from Season 1), Join the Circus! (from Season 2), and How It All Began! and Happy Mother's Day! (from Season 3).
  • Ming-Ming cried in Save the Duckling!, Tuck and Ming-Ming both did this in this episode, Linny did this in Save the Mouse!, Ming-Ming did this again in Save the Wonder Pets!, and Linny also did this again in Join the Circus!, How It All Began!, and Happy Mother's Day!.
• This is the last episode to premiere in 2006.
• In both in airing and production order, this is the first half-hour special in the series.
• This episode relives that the Flyboat's mast can be split into 2.
• Although this double-length episode premiered in Christmas 2006, it was produced in 2005 according to the end credits.
• In the U.K. dub, there are a few differences:
  • Instead of the kids saying, "Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kawanaka" to the pets, they'd just wish them "Merry Christmas."
  • In the Christmas song, they say, "Christmas DAY is almost here!" instead of "Christmas Morning is almost here!"
  • They call cookies "mint pies".
  • Ming-Ming says, "Oh, we're missing a wheel." instead of "Hey, we're missing a wheel.".
  • She also said "Rescue" instead of "Rumble".
  • Ming-Ming calls her "sweater" a "jumper".
• Ming-Ming's "This is SEWIOUS!" voice line, after Tuck's "Santa's baby reindeer...lost in the snow!", would be reused in the later four Season 1 episodes: Save the Crocodile, Save the Bullfrog, Save the Sheep and Save the Owl and used again in the early Season 2 episodes: Save the Bee! , Save the Beetles, Save the Dragon, Save the Beaver!  and would be used for the last time in Save Little Red Riding Hood.
• Speaking of Ming-Ming's line, this is the first episode (in production order) to have her say that three times in one episode, followed by Save the Wonder Pets!, Join the Circus, and How it all Began.
• This is the second episode where Tuck and Ming-Ming get into an argument. The first one was Save the Sea Lions. (That is, where both of them were fighting about sitting in front.) The third is Save the Platypus! . (That is, when Tuck refuses to talk to Ming-Ming ever again after she messes with his things. That is, including his clay turtle sculpture.)
• This was the last Season 1 episode to be broadcast on the main Nickelodeon channel (it's final broadcast was on December 20, 2010) because starting in 2011, the series would only show episodes from Season 3 until the series was removed from Nickelodeon altogether on May 6, 2011.

Goofs

• During the first Christmas song, Tuck's cape appeared out of nowhere.
• In some scenes, the Flyboat's lights are missing.
• When the Wonder Pets lead the reindeer back to Santa's, the bell on the orange light had a red ribbon.
• The Flyboat's right wheels are missing for the entire episode, except for the first stanzas of the opening and ending theme.
  • Also, the W on the sail is tilted.
• In the first stanza of the opening song, Linny's gloves are missing.
• In the U.K. dub, the Wonder Pets US voices are heard when they gasped.
  • The same goes for when Tuck grunted in The Phone song.
