Trivia[]
- This is the first instance in which the Wonder Pets journey into an object to save an animal.
- This is the first episode to feature mythical creatures.
- The running animations for the Wonder Pets when they were running from the Dragon were later reused for a few episodes during the first season (albeit Linny's was later modified to not have her arms swinging) and were later used frequently to later being used the most during seasons two and three to simulate running.
- Linny's clip of saying "This calls for some celery!" was later reused in most episodes during season 1-mid Season 3.
- The Butterfly lured the Unicorn to the Dragon because offscreen, Dragon told Butterfly to bring Unicorn to Dragon to reunite.
- This could be the version of Little Einsteins episode "The Song of the Unicorn".
- When the Wonder Pets were whistling, you'll notice that Ming-Ming ACTUALLY has a whistling expression.
- The cloth box gag has the team wearing costumes of The Little Red Riding Hood, foreshadowing a future episode in season 2.
- This episode has a sequel episode called Save the Dragon! from season 2.
- Tate McRae and Andrew Hilbrecht guest star as Uni and The Dragon respectively.
Goofs/Errors[]
- When the Wonder Pets cheer at the end of their theme, the camera cuts after they throw their hands in the air.
- In some scenes, Tuck's cape is scarlet instead of red.
- In the beginning of the episode when the camera panted to the schoolhouse, the small illustration of the school on the entrance was missing.
- This goof also happened in Save the Dolphin from season 1, and Save the Rooster from season 2.
- When Linny whispers, "The dragon!", her mouth doesn't move.
